Pain or not comfort during sex can also affect mental health.
While sex can be an act that offers pleasure to many people, there are cases when some others feel pain and not comfort, which means health problems.
For millions of women, pain or discomfort during sex can also affect mental health. Experts have found that at least 13 British women have experienced pain during sexual experiences.
These are the reasons why you feel pain during sex.
Unprotected sex
If you are not protected during sex then many infections can be caused that send you to various pains.
Vaginal dryness
The vagina can be dry during menopause, but it can also cause irritation if you take hormonal contraceptives or if you are pregnant.
Endometriosis
10% of women have severe symptoms during periods, fatigue, and pain during sex. Endometriosis occurs when parts of the tissue that run the uterus grows into other pelvic organs, such as the ovaries or fallopian tubes.
Vaginal Tightening
This happens over time the muscles tighten around and inside the vagina. During sex, the muscle causes pain. Some women with this problem may use tampons during the period but cannot have sex.
